SPECIAL DEDICATION - FOR FAMILIES

First Baptist has been approached by two Christian women in Victoria who have created a very large (6x8) and beautiful quilt in memory of the missing women on Vancouver's downtown eastside. They requested that FBC provide the venue for a special dedication service for the quilt which will be held at 2 p.m. on January 28. (FBC is at 969 Burrard St. at the corner of Burrard and Nelson St.; Tel: 604 683-8441). It will be a short service and it is not a regularly-scheduled church service. The church wants to invite as many family members/relatives of the victims as possible, seeing the occasion as a time of healing and fellowship. The trouble is that not many names and addresses of relatives and friends are readily available. So we've had to pursue other ways of letting them know about this service, including contacting you.

It has been difficult to contact all family members, if anyone has contact with the families please let them know of this special dedication of the memorial quilt.
