| MISSING WOMEN
MARCH |
(BCTV) - An estimated three-hundred people
marched through Vancouver's Downtown Eastside today to remember 23 women who have gone
missing from Vancouver streets. They carried signs that said "prostitutes are not
disposable" and "23 missing are 23 too many". They also carried flowers and
placed them at a memorial at Port Side park where in the future a memorial bench will be
placed. Vancouver police have put six investigators on the case. The province has posted a
100-thousand dollar reward.
