Project Porteous: Downie joins in song for missing women Victoria Times Colonist Wednesday, May 01. 2002 Victoria native Wyckham Porteous has secured another big name for his project, A Buried Heart -- a memorial for women who vanished from Vancouver's East Side. Gord Downie, lead vocalist for the Tragically Hip, has agreed to lend his singing to A Buried Heart. Downie joins Colin James, members of the Odds and Vince Jones from Sarah McLachlan's band. Porteous is also negotiating for contributions from Nelly Furtado, the Barenaked Ladies and Joni Mitchell.
