MURDER STORY ANGUISH RISES MURDER STORY ANGUISH RISES BYLINE: PETER SMITH, CALGARY SUN EDITION: Calgary Sun Sunday, June 6, 2002 Families and friends of Vancouver's missing women are devastated by a TV story that a human head, feet and hands were found in a freezer on a Port Coquitlam pig farm. Their shock wasn't eased yesterday when Missing Women Task Force leaders didn't deny the report. And one mother whose daughter is among the list of 50 missing women said police contacted her yesterday to say the information in the TV story had been leaked. Task force leaders are urging family members of the missing women to believe only what is officially released. The BC-CTV report claimed police had taken away meat freezers from the Port Coquitlam pig farm at the centre of the biggest murder investigation in Canadian history. Inside, said the report, officers discovered a human head together with hands and feet. Task force officers have confirmed human remains have been found on the pig farm, whose co-owner Robert Pickton, 52, has been charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of seven missing women. But no details have ever been released of what exactly was found. The "head in the freezer" report is the latest detail bringing anguish to Wayne Leng, whose close friend, Sarah Devries, is missing.
